Mission
One of the last great scientific challenges is to understand the functioning of the human brain, and computational theories are likely to play an important role in outlining a complete picture.

The mission of the Natural Computation Lab is twofold:
  1. To bring together ideas from diverse areas such as computer science,  neuroscience, information theory and optimization theory  and make them useful for modelling "brain's programs".
  2. To cross-pollinate computational models with applications in different fields such as robotics, video coding.
